Robin Hall’s Pianoforall Review: Is it Worth It?

This Piano for All review is going to see if the PianforAll course is actually worth your while or not.Robin Hall Pianoforall Pic

It is important to note that the piano is one of the most iconic instruments out there. Over the centuries, piano music has created things of wonder with the movement of sound and air all strummed by fingers pressing on keys.

It is a magical instrument full of wonder and history. And now if you are here reading this, you are probably wondering if Piano for All is something for you or is a “bust” and should just save your money.

I am going to be honest here.

Not everyone needs Robin Hall’s Piano for All product and have no need to download.

On the flipside, I genuinely think this is a good product for someone looking to really get out there and learn how to play the piano without the incredibly expensive costs of hiring a personal tutor.

PianoforAll Review –  Let Me Introduce You to Robin Hall

Robin Hall is the creator for Piano for All.

It is always important to know who is behind products to see if they have what you want. There is an important “success” principle, if you want something… find someone who has done it and learn from them on how they did it.

From there, you simply model them.

In this case, Robin Hall is a traveling pianist and a successful Irish cartoonist who has published a few very well received books on the subject. He has successfully played at various venues and has truly turned his passion for piano music into an actual revenue generating business.

If YOU want to possibly travel to various cities (and maybe even countries) with your piano music, Robin Hall might not be a bad guy for you to model after.

However, if you just want to learn how to play piano on the fly… well Robin Hall has got you covered there too with this online course.

Do You Need to Be a Pro or Does Piano for All Work for Newbies Too?

Honestly, I think this course is better for people just starting out than veterans.

If you’re already a traveling pianist or really happy with your craft, you could still learn a few things from Robin Hall but you are not going to get as much value out of it as someone brand new to playing the piano or keyboards.

Your Piano For All download starts you off with chord study while slipping in rhythm and note reading.

The difficulty progresses at a comfortable pace as things become more complicated (and beautiful.) The course is actually a collection of 11 eBooks (including a bonus book at the end, all of them come with video and audio embeds too).

• Book 1 – Party Time – Rhythm Piano (93 pages)pianoforall robin hall online course

• Book 2 – Blues and Rock n Roll (21 pages)

• Book 3 – Chord Magic (32 pages)

• Book 4 – Advanced Chords Made Easy (26 pages)

• Book 5 – Ballad Style (66 pages)

• Book 6 – Jazz Piano Made Easy (86 pages)

• Book 7 – Advanced Blues and Fake Stride (60 pages)

• Book 8 – Taming the Classics (71 pages)

• Book 9 – Speed Learning (120 pages)

• Book 10 – Bumper Resource Book (33 pages)

Extra Bonus Book – Increase Your Creative Ability 400% (40 pages)

You’ll notice that books are divided up roughly by genre.

There is a party lesson, blues lesson, ballads, jazz, and more. Along the way, Robin includes lots of helpful memorization tips mentioned earlier so you can overcome the technical obstacles and get back to playing music. Sample songs are drawn from all over the place, and even include some popular music.

However, note that many samples are still protected by copyright and can’t be presented in their entirety.

Still, it’s fun to play songs that are popular today rather than songs that were popular 100 years ago…I’m talking to you, jr. high and high school band teachers all over America.

Robin Hall’s Pianoforall Review – Is it Easy to Learn?

Robin Hall understands that everybody learns differently.

For the visual learners, there are videos that are easy to follow along with. For the auditory learners, you can listen along as many times as you need.

And for the text readers, there are PDF files of every lesson book available to download or view on CD. This is especially nice if you like physical copies and/or get tired of looking at a computer screen.

There are some things that could be improved though.

When opening the PDF-embedded videos for the first time, you might have to download the required plugin. This is an annoyance not only in Piano For All, but also for a number of other daily computing activities.

Aesthetically, Robin Hall could have invested more into quality filming equipment. The videos can appear a bit fuzzy and off-center at times. The content being taught is so relevant that you tend to overlook the visual quality, though.

But still…for $40…. come on Robin. There is 7 hours worth of video content in your lessons. Make it look nicer.

You can’t blame him too much though. He answers all his e-mails personally and Pianoforall is largely a one-man show.

That is a lot of plates to keep spinning in the air if you know what I mean.

Robin Hall PianforAll Review Conclusion: Download It or Forget It?

Yes, it’s a good lesson series.

The information is organized effectively and you will definitely learn the fundamentals of piano solidly and timely.

But before you buy, ask yourself something…

Do you have the self-discipline to work through the lessons day by day? Robin claims that you only need to put in 20 minutes a day to make progress.

I personally think 20 minutes is a little short (especially if you’re having fun). But yeah, sure, 20 minutes would probably be the minimum time investment to see results.

Can you find the time for that? How bad do you want to learn piano?

There is one more factor to consider…

How Much Does Piano For All Cost?

Compared to a private piano instructor, it costs next to nothing.

Do the math.

piano for all online lessonsA typical private piano lesson costs from $15-$40 an hour. So after using Pianoforall 2 or 3 times, you’ve already begun saving money. Of course the cheapest method would be to look up all the information online, but then you spend lots of time and energy wandering aimlessly in a sea of knowledge.

Their official website touts a $39 price tag for all the content (videos, lesson books, audio files, etc.) in digital format. You can get all that plus a physical DVD copy of the material for an extra $10 ($49 total).

The usual 60-day money back guarantee is also in effect if you want to cancel.

But rather than going through that headache, just decide ahead of time whether you are serious about learning piano or not.

If you truly desire to learn, well, Robin Hall’s online piano lessons might be the perfect fit for you.

So Should You Buy Pianoforall?

Honestly, I looked at several other online piano lessons when I wrote this review. Some things simply won’t change from lesson to lesson. Piano is piano, and no matter who you go with, you’re going to learn scales, chords, notes, basic theory, and other fundamentals.

The difference lies in HOW the information is introduced.

Robin Hall’s Pianoforall gets it right with his chord, genre and fun song-centric lessons.

It’s a cheap, fun series with an incredible wealth of information to offer.

Pianoforall will get you pounding out music and impressing your friends in a very short time. You can click here to buy PianoforAll and have it downloaded in 5 minutes or less to start learning how to play from the comfort of your home.
